About
This server was set up by me, [:JohanMarcusson:Independence], in the summer of 2006. In the autumn of the same year, public registration opened. Now, the server has been up and stable for about half a year, and everything seems to work out as planned.
Before this server was taken into service, there was an older machine that served as shellhost for me and some friends. When I got this new machine, I first opened up to the same people as before. But I felt that the server and I could handle more users, and that's when I decided to make this a publicly available free shell server. As this seems to work out, I intend to keep the server running and adding more services as they are needed.
