For this thing to go arond smoothly, every user has to vouch for ''atleast'' two new members, probably more. It's considered very bad taste to hunt around for vouches and when you finally get your vouches and the account, you don't help new members to get vouches! Not good! You should give back something to the community, not just use it and leave. For this thing to go around smoothly, every user has to vouch for ''at least'' two new members, probably more. How to vouch for new users

To get past step 4 in the signup process, a person trying to sign up has to get approved/vouched by two existing users. This page is intended for existing users about to vouch for a new user.

It's quite easy to vouch for another member, just log in to the signup program (login as user signup, Info/Login). Then log with the signup account you used to sign up yourself. You might have lost the password to your signup account but no worries, there is a recover-password functionality!

When you have the password and are logged in to the signup program there should be an option to vouch for a member, enter the username of the person you would like to vouch for. This is the username they use in the signup process, and might not be the same as they use on IRC.

Before you vouch for someone, make sure that they are not acting like a scriptkiddie or someone who might want to hurt Blinkenshell. If they doesn't seem to be familiar with the rules, don't vouch for them. Also, don't vouch for someone as soon as you see him/her. Try to make sure that he/she is going to stick around, I usually don't vouch until the second time I see someone (like the day after I first see them around in the chat.)

You can only vouch for one user each day. You can not save up "vouch-points", so even if you wait one week without vouching you can't approve 7 people at the same time. You can not vouch for the same user twice, two different users have to approve. Your username is logged when you vouch for someone, if you vouch for people that should not get vouch something bad will happen... ;-)

Thanks for helping Blinkenshell grow!
