Email accounts is available for registred users. The addresses look like this: username (at) blinkenshell.org

SMTP access is available, but you have to log in to be able to send mail. It's the same username/password as IMAP.
Ask Independence if you want an email account. It's an optional add-on service and not enabled by default.
If you want to, you can also get a forward to another address (username (at) blinkenshell.org -> yourname (at) gmail.com)
