We are now affilated with Shellsnet! http://www.shellsnet.org/ Blinkenshell is built around an online community with friendly and helpful users. This is a great place to be if you are looking for somewhere to learn more about [[UNIX]], networking, programming or meet other people with similar interests as yours. == Server problems! ==
I'm experiencing some problems with the server. It started out with some minor glitch with version incompatabilities between different versions of glibc, and has now escalated and made the whole system unable to start any programs at all, you can not even log in to the system.
Since the system is so badly broken, I decided to replace the whole vserver guest system (like a big chroot) with a new one. All users files are however safe and will be waiting for their users on the new guest system.
I don't have any ETA for when everything will be up and running as usual, but I'm working on fixing the system right now. I'm also taking this opportunity to make some upgrades of lowlevel software and file system changes that I've been waiting to make.
== Current events ==
 * There is currently some problems with the shell box, no one will be able to log in. Stay tuned for more info...
 * Blinkenshell is about to move to a new IRC-network because shellsnet is closing down. There is a new channel called #blinkenshell that's available on the IRC-servers irc.systemshell.net and irc.overloadx.net The new doesn't got a website or a name yet, but work is going on.
 * Everything is working fine, we are accepting new registrations.
== Short info ==
There is currently one server on Blinkenshell, it's called Rhea.
